The Grateful Ted

’ve had anywhere. It started with the suggestion from Sarah Hanson to try the new Axopar addition to the Ocean Runner fleet. I took a look and then I booked it through Sydney at Ocean Runner. She was so knowledgeable and professional. She made the whole booking experience so easy. Wow!! Then we get on island and take the trip and it was all that and more. Stven was our captain for the day and did his usual great job. We hit Scott beach, Mermaids Chair, Water Lemon (where we saw spotted eagle rays), then we had lunch at Lime Out, our new favorite lunch spot. This was followed by a shout out to Captain Bob Shinners, who was boating with his friends! 😎. Next was a snorkel stop at Salt Pond where we saw turtles, southern rays and lots of other cool stuff. Finally, we stopped at Reef Bay to see the Lemon Shark pups (thanks to Captain Cody for knowing they were there). This was one of our best days on the water anywhere ever. What a great boat and better staff! If you don’t use them........bless your heart (it’s a southern saying!)

"From the moment we met Captain Cody and his 900 horsepower 35 foot scarab yacht named Ocean Dream, we knew we were in for a heck of a lot of fun!! Cody is an awesome captain and clearly knows the USVI and BVI islands like the back of his hand. He was awesome for a group of 8 couples and he has a sixth sense on how to strategically avoid the crowds. The boat was first class! We sailed from the Westin St. John to Jost Van Dyke, Monkey Point Tortola, Peter Island BVI, Norman Island BVI, Cruz bay, and Caneel Bay's Honeymoon Beach."

"We rented one of their new Boston Whalers: thing 4, it was perfect for 3 adults and 1 child. It is a perfect way to get out and see the north shore beaches from a different point of view. The staff is absolutely top notch, Ed is very helpful getting you set up for departure and when you head back in to dock. This is our 2nd time renting from them and it won’t be the last. If you are boaters and want to have a nice day out on the water by yourselves, this is a must."

"Had the best day with Captain Cody and Fist Mate Sarah! Picked up from Ritz Carlton beach and headed to Virgin Gorda. Did the Baths and it was so exciting! Lunch at Jost Van Dyke “Voodoo” and the on to Soggy Dollar. The whole family loved it all. Sarah and Cody were so friendly and full of stories and info. One of our best vacation days!"

"Great day cruising the various great snorkeling spots around St John - Maho and Trunk Bay were our best spots. Ocean runner was flexible when it rained early Tuesday and allowed us to reschedule for Thursday - all the employees were great from Hunter to Ed to Sydney and Tina! Highly recommend renting a whaler with Bimini top vs a dinghy. If you are a scuba diver they offer various trips for varying levels of divers at Low Key. Easy to find in Cruz Bay, laid back but on time in every way!"

"Fantastic day on the north shore. Staff was knowledgeable and polite. Per recommendation our first stop was Waterlemon. We then spent the day working our way back to Cruz. Whaler we rented was in great condition. Tying up to dingy moorings was a cinch. Would absolutely use Ocean Runner again."
